Fall Colors in New York

I’ll have to admit, Fall is not my favorite season…that right is reserved for Spring! The crisp air and slight chill signals the dread of approaching winter; dark dreary nights of being cooped up at home, and having to layer up in all kinds of clothing just to step out for a walk! Alright alright …I’m also known to be a tad bit over dramatic! šŸ™‚

But the colors of Fall –Ā why that’s quite a different matter altogether! Beautiful shades of yellow (deep ochre and burnt sienna), sometimes a flamingĀ red, can truly take your breath away! Our recent drive just out of NYC led to some incredible walks with amazing views…

Just exiting the city…can you see those colors already?

We charted out aĀ drive that had lots of scenic spots along the way!

We also saw the Fall boat tour sail away, maybe an idea for next year?

When parked at one of the overlooks, weĀ noticed a side trail and a dirt pathway…following the yellow leaf “road”Ā led us right into an enchanted forest!

It was one of those terribly cold days (read above in case you missed my feelings about this season šŸ˜‰ ) and I had to keep my jacket ONĀ for ALL the pics – much to my dismay!

However, look at the INCREDIBLEĀ colors below!!

Soon, it was time to head back and just ONEĀ last look at the skyline – this view never gets old! ā¤

What’s your favorite season? Not Fall, is it? šŸ˜‰
