We checked out Kuta beach last night which definitely was not worth the time! We were trying to decide between Seminyak and Kuta beach, and decided that Kuta maybe more interesting as this was the “true” Bali and how it was discovered by the australian surfer crowd. (The “wares” included a wide range from illegal drugs to cigarettes!)Â We walked around for a bit, got a couple of drinks at a hookah bar, and hailed a cab back to the hotel.
Today, we have planned a sunset trip to Pura Luhur Uluwatu. This is a temple at the top of a cliff and is best visited at sunset, when the sea breeze rises and you can hear the waves crashing at the bottom of the cliff. We hiked to the top of the cliff (only 10 min) to take some great pictures. There are several monkeys here, so make sure that you remove any loose hanging jewelry, shades etc.
